Progress

My 24th birthday is coming up and I'm beginning to realize more and more the stages we go through in life. Granted, I'm very young in the grand scheme of things but nonetheless I see the stages. I see them in myself and others. The people we meet and get to know dramatically shape our lives whether we know it or not. And the more time passes and the more people we get to know in our lives the more we realize the stages we have all gone through... still with me? These last few years I have met quite a few people, lost and renewed many friendships and just lived.  I have changed so much yet incredibly remained the same person I have always been. It's funny when you can actually see the phrase "the more things change the more they stay the same" actually take place. Even more so in your own life. 

On top of my birthday coming up there is another event that the rest of the world will be celebrating: a new year, 2009.  Now is the time of year where we all think back on what happened this past year.  What made 2008 2008?
